TTRPG Community Newsletter 20th December
Hi folks! Welcome to the “tail end of the year” episode of our community newsletter. We’re fashionably late for this week and eager-beaver early for next week. We’ll be back in the new year, once there’s new news to deliver!
As always I encourage you to magic missile the Subscribe button if you’ve not already, and check the link at the end if you have your own news you want us to share.
Enough preamble, let’s go get Squished!

Squish!
Squish! by Penflower Ink is a solo/coop dungeon crawl journaling game. It’s best summarised by the first two headers on their Itch page - “The dungeon is vast and full of horrors. And you are very small.”
This new release invites you to take on the role of squishy little characters taking on big challenges, getting by with a little help from your friends. It includes everything you need to play through your big quest of surviving the dungeon, including rules to recruit companions for your squishy friend.
The art is great, and very cute. As you might expect from a publisher with ‘Ink’ in their name. If you fancy trying your hand at flourishing in the dungeon, this little gem might be for you!

We Dig Giants Robots
Oh yes we do!
We Dig Giants Robots: A Rockin Mecha One-Shot RPG by Kamala Arroyo has just hit Kickstarter (whew! that’s a mouthful!)
This game is a rules-light RPG, focused on shorter games, and inspired by Megas XLR (I’ll be honest, I thought that was a brand of camera at first. I’m so unhip I’m surprised my legs haven’t fallen off…).
It’s about short sharp bursts of high octane comedy mecha action. And that sounds pretty cool to me.
This is Kamala’s first KS campaign, but she’s backed by The Far Horizons Co-op, who have done about a million. So you’re in good hands if you decide to pledge. It’s also around 50% funded shortly after launch which is pretty damn good.
If big-ass comedy mech action is up your avenue, take a squint at the details on Kickstarter.

Last up this week we’ve got a Kickstarter coming soon. Hidden Folk of the Feywild from Bramble Heart Games is a collection of critters from European folklore. The supplement is aimed firmly at 5e DnD, but I expect the lore and background could be useful for any kind of fantasy game.
If you’re curious about that - and I am - you can check out the prelaunch page on Kickstarter.
That’s a wrap for another week. Another short newsletter this time. Do let us know if you have news you want us to share in a future issue.
Until next time, have a pleasant Christmas/holiday season, and I wish you a critical successful year for 2025.
Adam RK.
